These are the most recent pics from my brother’s and sister’s facebooks. Seeing these pics makes me miss them a lot. But it’s the kind of “missing” that puts a smile on my face, not the kind that saddens the spirit. For I know that they are not only surviving but thriving.
Though our family is struggling (and has been for years now), these two manage to keep it fresh and they keep it clean. While the rest of their friends are fixed on gettin boyfriends/girlfriends, partyin, drinkin, smokin etc. they stand faithful, like oaks of righteousness, like shining beacons of light in the midst of darkness.
They know they do not belong to the world so they do not bend to its ways. They are firm in their identities as daughter and son of the Most High, and choose to think and act accordingly. Because of all this I feel that our family is so blessed and wealthy beyond measure (though in the natural we’re still hittin hard times).
I am glad to see ya’ll are rockin the J’s and puttin em to good use. May they help to keep ya feet on the higher path. May each step you take be fresh and confident in His love. May you bind His word around your hearts, as tight as you bind up your laces.
PRAISE THE LORD. ALL GLORY TO GOD. Amen.
